Frequently Asked Questions
We are proud of the great projects AngleBrackets has taken part in. Here are some of the most asked questions.
What is cloud DevOps?
Cloud DevOps is the practice of building, testing, releasing and running software on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and Google Cloud through automated pipelines. It combines CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containers, monitoring and security, so teams can ship small changes often, recover from failures quickly and pay only for the cloud resources they actually use.
What do cloud DevOps services include?
Cloud DevOps services usually include a DevOps audit, CI/CD pipeline setup, infrastructure as code, Docker and Kubernetes, cloud migration, monitoring and logging, security scanning, cloud cost optimization and ongoing managed support. You can start with one piece, like a pipeline for one app, or hand over the whole cloud setup.
How long does a DevOps implementation take?
A DevOps audit takes one to two weeks, and a first CI/CD pipeline for one app is usually live in [2 to 4 weeks]. A full setup with infrastructure as code, containers and monitoring takes [6 to 12 weeks], and a cloud migration [2 to 6 months] depending on how many systems move. You see working results every week.
What is the difference between DevOps and cloud computing?
Cloud computing is where your software runs: rented servers, databases and services from providers like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. DevOps is how you build, test, release and run that software, through automation and shared ownership. Cloud DevOps puts the two together, so the cloud is set up, changed and watched by code.
Which cloud is best for DevOps: AWS, Azure or Google Cloud?
All three work well for DevOps. AWS has the widest range of services and the biggest talent pool, Azure fits teams already on Microsoft 365, .NET or Active Directory, and Google Cloud is strong for Kubernetes, data and AI. The best choice depends on your stack, your team's skills and your credits or contracts.
What is CI/CD and why does it matter?
CI/CD stands for continuous integration and continuous delivery. Every code change is automatically built, tested and prepared for release, and often deployed straight to production. It matters because small, tested releases break less often and are easier to roll back, which means faster features and fewer late-night incidents for your team.
What is infrastructure as code?
Infrastructure as code means your servers, networks, databases and permissions are defined in files, usually with Terraform, Pulumi or CloudFormation, and stored in Git. Changes are reviewed like code before they apply. You can rebuild any environment the same way in minutes, track who changed what, and avoid settings that only exist in someone's memory.
Do I need Kubernetes?
Not always. Kubernetes is worth it when you run many services, need fine-grained autoscaling or want to stay portable across clouds. For one or two apps, simpler options like AWS ECS, Google Cloud Run or Azure App Service are cheaper and easier to run. We recommend Kubernetes only when it clearly pays for itself.
How can DevOps reduce my cloud costs?
DevOps cuts cloud costs by rightsizing oversized servers, turning off idle and test resources, using autoscaling, buying savings plans or reserved instances for steady workloads, and tagging resources so every team sees its spend. Flexera's 2025 report found cloud budgets already run about 17% over plan, so most teams have savings to find.
What is DevSecOps?
DevSecOps means building security into every step of DevOps instead of checking it at the end. Pipelines scan code, dependencies and containers for known problems, secrets live in a vault, access follows least privilege, and cloud settings are checked against benchmarks like CIS. Security issues get caught in minutes, before they reach production.
Can you migrate our applications to the cloud?
Yes. We start by mapping your apps, data and dependencies, then choose for each one whether to lift and shift, re-platform or re-architect. We move one service at a time with rollback plans, test data at every step and switch traffic during low-usage hours, so customers keep working throughout.
Do you offer DevOps as a service or managed DevOps?
Yes. DevOps as a service gives you a senior DevOps team on a monthly plan: monitoring and on-call, patching and upgrades, cost reviews, new pipelines and improvements. It costs far less than a full-time hire and comes with clear response times and a named engineer who knows your setup.
Should I hire DevOps engineers or outsource DevOps?
Hire in-house when DevOps is a daily, full-time need and you can find senior people. Outsource to DevOps service providers when you need results fast, lack DevOps experience on the team, or only need part-time help. Many clients start with us, then hire in-house later and we hand everything over cleanly.
Will we own the pipelines, code and cloud accounts?
Yes. Everything we build lives in your Git repositories and your own AWS, Azure or Google Cloud accounts. You own 100% of the pipelines, Terraform code, scripts and documentation. We sign an NDA before the first detailed call, use least-privilege access, and remove our access whenever you ask.
Ready to Ship Faster and Spend Less on Cloud?
Tell us how your team releases today and where your cloud bill hurts. Our cloud DevOps engineers will show you the fastest honest path to automatic deploys, fewer outages and a smaller bill, and build it with you.
